Brass Jewellery Care
Brass jewellery is made to be worn and loved. Over time, brass naturally develops a rich patina, giving each piece its own unique character. If you prefer a brighter finish, it's easy to clean.
To restore brass’ shine, make a paste using equal parts lemon juice and baking soda. Gently rub onto the jewellery with a soft cloth, rinse with warm water, and dry thoroughly. A brass polishing cloth also works well.
If a green patina appears, don't worry; it's a natural reaction to moisture and air. Simply clean it using the method above.
Brass may occasionally leave a faint green mark on your skin. This is completely harmless, washes off easily with soap and water, and varies from person to person.
Sterling Silver Jewellery Care
Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time, but with a little care it will stay beautiful for years.
To clean silver use a silver polishing cloth to restore shine. For heavier tarnish, place your jewellery in a bowl lined with aluminium foil, add hot water, one tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda, and a pinch of salt. Leave for a few minutes, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
Gold-Plated Jewellery Care
Gold-plated jewellery has a delicate layer of gold, so a little extra care will help keep it looking its best.
To clean gold-plated jewellery, wipe with a soft cloth after wearing. If needed, clean gently with lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap, then dry immediately.
Avoid abrasive cloths, metal polish, baking soda, vinegar, and harsh jewellery cleaners, as these can wear away the gold plating.
With gentle care, your jewellery will keep its beautiful golden glow for longer.
